Privacy

Short version: Waku collects very little, and we never sell any of it. Here's the long version, in plain words.

Waku Beauty is owned and operated by Radiant Solutions. When this policy says "we" or "Waku," it means Radiant Solutions.

What we collect

Messages you send us. If you use our contact form, we get your name, your email address and your message. You decide what to share.

ZIP codes in our tools. If you check the UV forecast in one of our tools, the ZIP code you type is used for that one lookup and never saved.

Things collected automatically. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how people find and read Waku. Between them they record the pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, what kind of device and browser you use, and how you move around a page. Clarity also records anonymized session replays, which show clicks and scrolling but never anything you type. We use this to learn which guides help and which pages are broken. We don't use it to advertise to you, and we never sell it.

Cookies

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set their own cookies to tell one visit from another. Waku also keeps one entry in your browser's storage, only to remember that you closed the analytics notice so it doesn't keep popping up.

If you click a shopping link, the affiliate program behind it may set a cookie so the store can credit us for the sale. That cookie is theirs, and their privacy terms apply. Our disclosure explains how those links work.

Who helps us run the site

We never sell or rent your information. A few service providers handle data only so the site works:

• A hosting provider, which stores the site and delivers its pages.
• Google and Microsoft, which run the analytics described above.
• An email service, which delivers messages from our contact form to our inbox.
• The affiliate programs behind our shopping links.

Each one has its own privacy terms.

How long we keep things

We keep contact messages for as long as we need them to reply and to keep sensible records, and no longer.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal information we have about you, fix it or delete it, wherever you live. People in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have these rights under the GDPR, and California residents have them under the CCPA. Email contact@wakubeauty.com and we'll take care of it.

Kids

Waku is written for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent us something, email us and we'll delete it.

Where your data goes

Waku is made for readers in the United States. Our service providers may handle data in the US and in other countries, where privacy laws can differ from yours.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Bigger changes will be easy to spot.
